DEERFIELD, IL-Just last Tuesday, a local Deerfield man was diagnosed with phobiaphobia. The man, named Fred Phabic, is a carpenter and self-proclaimed Mr. Fix It, but he has one slight quirk.
The Flipside interviewed his doctor, and found very surprising results. When Mr. Phabic came in for his check-up, his doctor told him about all the new phobias around the world such as and not limited to allodoxaphobia, the fear of opinions, iatrophobia, the fear of and going to the doctor, agateophobia, the fear of becoming insane, and many more.
At this new knowledge Mr. Phabic “became quite fearful,” in the words of his doctor. “He was a phobiaphobic…The first of his kind. It was kind of exciting. I didn’t know what to do with him so I gave him Tylenol.”
Currently, Mr. Fred Phabic is at an insane asylum with iatrophobic and phobiaphobia and still very much in fear.
